Jon Paul Robbins Specializes In Civil Litigation

Working in New York City, Jon Paul Robbins is a respected lawyer who is a partner at McLaughlin & Stern LLP, a law firm based in the city. Jon Paul Robbins specializes in civil litigation, which is to say that he does not handle criminal court cases. He handles issues related to insurance defense, business dissolution, employment discrimination, lender liability, real estate, art, trusts and estates, anti-trust, sports and entertainment, and insurance defense.

Jon Paul Robbins is a graduate of the State University of New York – Binghamton. He received his Bachelor’s of Arts degree, graduating with cum laude honors, from SUNY – Binghamton in 1970. He then went to Cornell University and received his Juris Doctorate in 1973, graduating with distinction.

Jon Paul Robbins worked on the Cornell Law Review. He sat on the Board of Editors at the scholarly legal journal and was also a member of a national honorary society for law students and alumni called The Order of the Coif.

After receiving his Juris Doctorate, Jon Paul Robbins joined a Manhattan-based law firm called Seward & Kissel. He worked at that firm, in their litigation department, until 1979. He left Seward & Kissel to help found a firm of his own called Nitkin Alkalay Handler & Robbins. This firm would, in 1992, merge with McLaughlin & Stern, where Jon Paul Robbins is now a partner.
